SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento community, particularly the tight-knit circle of Jesuit High School athletics, is mourning the loss of former Marauders football player Carson Campbell.
Campbell’s passing has brought deep sorrow to his family, friends, former teammates, and all who were touched by his character during his time at Jesuit. He is being remembered as a player who embodied the school’s values both on and off the field.
“On the football field, Carson was admired not only for his athletic ability but also for his discipline, teamwork, and commitment,” said a former coach, speaking on behalf of the program. “He led by example—working hard, encouraging others, and always putting the team first. He proudly represented Jesuit with dedication and heart.”
Beyond his contributions to the team, friends and classmates recall a young man of genuine kindness and integrity. He was known for his welcoming nature, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty—a person who made others feel valued in the locker room, the classroom, and in everyday life.
“Carson had a way of making people feel seen and supported,” a close friend shared. “He was the kind of guy who showed up when it mattered most. He truly lived the Jesuit values of faith, service, and integrity, and that guided him in everything he did.”
